Serving Saver is designed for use in areas where serving separation is occurring. It is basically a flat yarn which needs to be wrapped tightly over the serving; overlapping each wrap.

It's a tricky task to perfect but it does the job.

Serving Saver can also be applied directly to the string or cable.
