How To Choose The Correct Model:
Determine distance A from the outer diameter of your arrow to the inside of the bow window (pic. 5). This distance tells you which Beiter Support / Arrow Rest you need.
"15 (S #1)" means that you can use an arrow/rest combination with a measurement of up to A=15mm.
Exceptions may be solved as follows:
Other details on the Arrow Rest:
The Beiter Rest for recurve is the first Arrow Rest designed by Werner Beiter to be sold on the archery market.
What do you get?:
The Support incorporates a revolutionary guiding System for the Finger, which may change position, carried by a specifically designed Spindle.
3 Supports are available, differing in their thickness, to have the desired arrow position on bows with different cut-outs: #S1, #S2 (= #S1 + 1mm), #S3 (= S#1 + 2mm).
On the Finger you will find some details to determine the model:
Suggestions for use:
How to install the Beiter Rest:
Clean the surface on the bow window. Insert a bow-square in the string and the Beiter Rest Tool in the Beiter Rest to easily find the correct position, as much as possible parallel to the bow-square (pic.6). Pay attention that the Beiter Rest Tool must be inserted completely from the back-side. The Beiter Rest may be used for both RH and LH archers: LH may use the Beiter Rest Tool without the blue sleeve, and must work on the front side of the bow, not from the backside as right-handed archers do!
Strip off the Tape and mount the Beiter Rest over the Plunger, trying to keep the Beiter lgo parallel to the bow-square (for LH the word support) and press it firmly (pic.7). The maximal adhesive power is reached after about 12 hours.
Due to this position you have a 15° angle, which allows a maximal height adjustment of 2mm.
In the factory setting (Pos. 0) the Arrow Rest touches both white lines (pic.8). By turning the Beiter Rest Tool to the left the Arrow Rest moves to the front and therefore down (pic.9), changing the position of the arrow towards the Plunger, but also the Nocking Point (will be higher!). A smaller angle will allow a more precise height adjustment, but changes also the stiffness of the Arrow Rest.
With an angle of 15°, one turn of the Beiter Rest Tools moves the Arrow Rest by 0,39 mm. Moving the Arrow Rest by one line (1mm) with a 15° angle effects a height adjustment of 0,26mm.
NOW THE BEITER REST IS READY TO BE SHOT!
Changing the Finger:
- You may easily change for example from Aluminum to Carbon and back, finding always again the exact same position: simply change from 12 to 23 or vice-versa.
- Another reason to change the Finger, may be the fact, that the finger breaks or wears too much. A small groove may be just compensated with the height adjustment.
IMPORTANT! Every Finger comes out of a single mould, so each finger is identical!
To exchange the Finger, insert the Beiter Rest Tool completely into the Spindle (for LH without sleeve, if there is not enough space!), and turn clockwise (to the right, pic. 11) until the Finger is not anymore guided by the Spindle and touches the sleeve (pic.12).
Extract the Finger, while the Spindle will stay clipped in the Support.
Now insert the Finger in the Support, positioning it into the lower guide (pic.13) and clipping it on, like a push-button (pic.14). Insert the Beiter Rest Tool again completely into the Spindle and press simultaneously against the Finger with it and turn counterclockwise (to the left!), to engage the first thread. (LH push against the Finger with their finger).
Now you can move the Finger of the Beiter Rest to the desired position!
